Rob is an attorney, shareholder and past President of Crain, Caton & James, PC, a century old downtown Houston law firm. Rob is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in both residential and commercial real estate law and has been repeatedly recognized as a SuperLawyer by Texas Monthly and other publications.

A nationally recognized expert in consumer and commercial lending issues, Rob is a highly sought after author, speaker, trainer and expert witness, having literally written The Book on Texas lending law (Usury and Texas Credit Laws, 1st through 12th Editions) relied upon by other attorneys, regulators and lenders.

Having lead and participated in foreign mission trips, fundraised and built homes for Habitat for Humanity in Fort Bend County, served as a volunteer at Covenant House, on a grant committee for Fort Bend Cares and as a director of Child Advocates of Fort Bend, Inc., Rob is passionate about the plight of vulnerable children.

Rob is the lucky guy married to Kim Wisner and they actively share in the lives of their 20-something two sons and two daughters.  Kim is a former labor and delivery RN, now life coach, whose niche is helping 35-65 year old men create the relationships of their dreams.  Rob and Kim participate in a number of courses offered by Landmark.
