John and his sister Peninah lost both parents and were left under the care of their aging grandmother whose flow of income was minimal. This made it difficult for them to survive and be provided with all the basic needs. Now at COCI House #3 in SOS Village in Kisumu, Kenya, John’s future is much brighter.
John is now outgoing, lively and is confident of himself; he can address a crowd without fear. He has the traits of a leader whereby he is always a leader both in house and outside; he knows how to manage others whenever there is a problem. As a result he was elected as the house secretary and normally takes the minutes whenever there is a house meeting.
John’s dream is to become a pilot and we are committed to help him get there. Most recently John has sat for his primary completion exams in Kenya. This is a huge and very important milestone that will help determine his placement in secondary education. We are super proud of John and his house Mama and family.
